The gospel is the good news that Jesus saves
Because of sin, we cannot save ourselves or earn our way back to God. But Jesus came for us. He lived the perfect life we could not live, died the death our sin deserved, and rose again so we could have new life.
Salvation is a free gift from Jesus, received through repentance and faith in Him alone as Savior and Lord. Through Jesus, we are forgiven, restored to God, and welcomed as His children.
And salvation is not just something God starts in us, it is something He continues. Through the Holy Spirit, every genuine follower of Jesus is being changed to become more like Him, secure in the grace that saves, sustains, and keeps us.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son."
John 3:16-18
have you said “yes” to jesus?
Starting a relationship with Jesus isn’t about being good enough or having all the answers. It’s simply about being honest with God and taking one step toward Him. He’ll meet you right where you are. You can begin a relationship with Jesus by praying this prayer of surrender:
Dear Jesus, I’m praying this prayer because I know that I have done wrong by living without You. I am sorry and I trust that You will forgive me. I accept Your love and grace for me and ask that You would be my Lord. Help me believe in You and love You every day, and help me to show the world what You are like and how great Your love is.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
