1. Have you ever let someone else guide you through life, a situation, or a circumstance? How did you like having someone guide you, and how did that circumstance play out?
2. As David looked back over his life, he realized that someone had been guiding and leading him. God’s past faithfulness fueled David’s faith in his good shepherd. How has God led and shepherded you? How does God’s past faithfulness impact your faith today, or how should it?
3. What does the metaphor of the shepherd teach us about God?
4. Does the idea that God knows you most make it easy for you to believe that He loves you best?
