No Regrets - September 10

OVERVIEW

Love is hard at times to define, but we always know it when we see it. Nothing is more powerful or moving that when we see love played out in front of us. No example of love is greater than God’s when He gave His only son for us, and Jesus when He chose to die for our sins.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1. How have you historically answered the question, “What is God like?"

2. What are some of the most moving examples of love you have personally witnessed? What is there to learn about God's love from those examples?

3.  Why is the concept of the love of God being unconditional unique to Christianity? Why is it a difficult concept for many to believe?

4. Jesus pointed to a God who loves us collectively, individually, and unconditionally. What do we learn from Jesus about reflecting the love of God to all the people in our lives?

5. Why was it necessary for God to send Jesus to die for us in order to prove his love for us?

6. Why is the idea of love being a choice more significant and meaningful than love being just a mere feeling?

7. How should we as followers of Jesus properly respond to the underserved love of God we have experienced personally?
